Hi all
Today at Westlake was the second winter race series sailed in light to moderate north easterly conditions. Eight races were sailed with the podium positions shared among the fleet. The competitors were well behaved and did their penalties as required.
The start line was set at the western end of the lake to create a short beat to the top mark off the wind to the wing mark and bottom mark with a good long beat back to the top mark, round two ,wing mark ,bottom mark then to the outer start mark and a short beat to the finish.
The race officers were Paul Campbell and ably assisted by Jim Paterson.
Congratulations to the podium winners Bryan Treleaven, fleet winner and Ron Campbell handicap winner.
There are two more winter race series left so we are looking for RO and assistant for Sunday 14th July and Sunday 11th August.
