At the 10.45 skippers briefing it looked like we were going to be able to have a great day’s sailing with a moderate southerly breeze., 18 skippers turned up ready to compete. But right on cue at 11.00am it turned into a southerly buster resulting in ongoing carnage on he racecourse. Three heats were sailed before an early lunch was called for by Race Officer Rod Liddy, hoping that the wind would settle down for us. To no avail unfortunately, so it was decided to call it a day with the results of the 3 heats sailed to stand. Only 6 boats completed the course in the 3rd heat
There was a clear winner in the fleet contest for the Endeavour Trophy once again with Polly Parratt winning all heats. Bryan Treleavan also excelled in the heavy conditions taking out 2nd place in the fleet race and convincingly winning the handicap trophy for handicap honours.
