Twilight sailing was a very fun and successful evening, on Monday 18 March 2019. Held at Lake Ferrymead, with a steady easterly wind.

There were 16 boats on the water and a few extra skippers to take a turn. Steve Anderson was a very able Event organiser, setting the course, rescuing and untangling boats, with back-up by Wes Purves.

The sailing was orderly, but because of so many boats and a keen wind, there were many collisions and some frustrated buoy rounding. However, all good natured. There is no record keeping – so it is the “Friendly Regatta”. Next season we will put on another few twilight events – so do come and join the relaxed sailing.
Cheers Rodney
